Note 24/08/2017: Unfortunately we are unable to offer brewery tours at the moment. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Take a tour at our brewery with one of our expert brewers and see the Fyne Ales brewery and its history.
Formally contained within an old cattle shed, the Fyne Ales brewery expanded into a converted barn adjacent to the tap room in 2015, upgrading to state-of-the-art British brewing equipment designed to get the best possible quality from the finest ingredients used for all Fyne Ales beers. The former brewery continues to be used for experimental beer projects, including barrel-aging and a tour will include insight into the setup and production in both facilities.
Tours begin in the brewery tap with a half pint of beer and a discussion about the different ingredients that we use in our beer. Our trained staff will then take you around our working breweries and show you what it takes to make our multi-award-winning beers, with every stage of how we turn water, malt, yeast and hops into our unique beers fully explained. At the end of the tour you will get the chance to have a tutored tasting through each of our beers.
Tours cost £7.50, include a half pint of Jarl and take roughly 30 minutes.
The nearest, convenient public transport link for the brewery is via West Coast Motors bus service 926 (Campbeltown - Glasgow) whose Cairndow stop is located at the nearby Loch Fyne Oysters. Full timetable.
With our brewery being very busy, it is best to book ahead so we can arrange a time for one of our brewers to give the tour.
If you have a large group we would be happy to put together a package where we can give you a tour and tasting experience with a BBQ in the courtyard.
