What makes it special?
Piper’s Gold was one of the first beers to be brewed at the brewery when it opened in 2001. It has proven to be a very successful beer and remains the favourite amongst drinkers who are looking for a tasty golden ale. Piper’s Gold has a more traditional hop profile that the likes of Jarl and Hurricane Jack. The addition of crystal malt to the grist gives the beer a slightly sweet biscuit taste to begin with. The combination of Pioneer, WGV and Goldings hops gives it a long, dry, bitter, finish. The result is a very tasty bitter pale ale. Piper’s Gold was given its name to honour Argyll’s fine heritage in Piping.
