Tasting Notes

A big hoppy IPA with aromas of pears and apples. The flavour is of fruity melon with notes of pear and pomegranate followed by a round bitter middle and long dry finish.

What makes it special?

Ruvaal is brewed as an experiment with the new hop variety Polaris. This hop is a German variety of hop with a very high alpha acid rating which should give off a strong bitterness to the beer. Ruvaal gets its name from Ruvaal lighthouse which is located on the northern tip of Islay.
