Courtyard Beer Garden – Open Monday 26 April!
Draught beer is back in Glen Fyne!
Following confirmation from the Scottish Government that Argyll will move to Level 3 of Covid-19 restrictions from 26 April, we’re excited to reopen our Brewery Courtyard outdoor space every day from 10am-6pm going forward.
We will continue to follow government guidelines to ensure our team and all visitors to Glen Fyne are kept safe, including making hand sanitiser available, additional cleaning processes and following 1-metre social distancing rules in the courtyard – our measures will be broadly in line with last summer, but if you didn’t visit in 2020, here’s the info:
No Need To Book
To start, we’re operating on a first-come, first-served basis with no maximum time for groups. All visitors must have a seat to enjoy pints in the courtyard, but we have plenty of seating under the covered area and a bit more open to the elements (if the sun ever comes out), so you should be able to get a seat. We do ask for only one group per table to help maintain safe social distancing.
Table Service
You’ll need a seat to enjoy a beer as we’ll be operating with table-service only. When you arrive, grab a table, have a read of the menu and give one of our team-members a wave and they’ll take your order, contact details for all members of your group, bring you your drinks and ask you to pay for them after each round. Menus, tables and seats will all be sanitised after each table is vacated.
Glass Return Help
We ask all visitors to put their empty glasses into a glass return tray, either provided by a team member (between rounds) or at the Courtyard Bar location before you leave. This will help us minimise contact with used glassware and speed up service to other guests.
Slightly Reduced Menu
We will have a mix of up to six fresh beers on draught – three cask and three keg – at any one time depending on stock, as well as a selection of chilled bottled and canned beer (£1 corkage applies). We also have wine, spirits, hot drinks, soft drinks and crisps available but please note there is no other food available at the moment. If you want to grab a sandwich from our friends at The Tree Shop or Loch Fyne Oysters to enjoy with a beer in the courtyard, feel free, just make sure you’ve got everything you need (cutlery etc) and you clear everything away into the bins before you leave.
Our indoor space will continue to operate as a shop only with the same opening times, so please note there is no indoor seating available – plan ahead, and be prepared for anything the West Coast weather might throw at you. We ask that anyone enjoying drink-in beer in the courtyard wears a face covering when moving around and entering the Brewery Shop for takeaway beers or to use the toilets.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know – if you are planning on visiting next week please bear with us as we get things working smoothly. And if you’re not able to come and see us, remember we’ve got plenty of beers available from the online shop.
Cheers!
