FyneFest 2021 Update – Bring on 2022

Hello folks – it’s with great sadness that today we are announcing that FyneFest 2021 will not go ahead, but will return from 3-5 June 2022.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been closely following updates from the Scottish Government in regards to the reopening of hospitality and the hosting of events this summer, as well as talking to our friends in the industry to try to understand what might be allowed and when in the coming months. With regret we have had to conclude that we can’t be confident of hosting FyneFest at any point this year – there is simply too much uncertainty around the ongoing pandemic and how restrictions might be changed over the summer.

We know this will be disappointing to many, and it is certainly very disappointing for us. This is a situation that all event organisers are having to contend with; while some are planning for large-scale events later in the year, we’ve come to understand that it just isn’t going to be possible for us to deliver the full FyneFest experience at a quality you expect and we would be proud of in 2021.

Over the next months we are going to focus on rebuilding our core business of brewing great beer and getting it out to pubs for folk to enjoy as restrictions are eased, as well as begin welcoming as many of you as possible back to the glen to visit us at our Brewery Tap, Shop & Courtyard. We hope that we might be able to host some smaller events at the brewery with great food, music and possibly camping later in the year, if restrictions allow.

We’ve said this before, but we really mean it – we want FyneFest 2022 to be our best ever – and we’ve already begun discussing how to refine and enhance the event for those who join us in June next year. There will obviously be lots of news before tickets go on sale in November 2021, but we want to spend time figuring out how to take the best bits of FyneFest and make them even better for next year. It is likely that we will reduce ticket numbers available next year to ensure that everyone coming to FyneFest 2022 has the best possible experience.

To our FyneFest 2020/21 ticket-holders – thank you for your patience during this difficult time. We hope many of you who chose to roll over your tickets for 2021 will do so again for 2022 and secure your place at FyneFest next year. If that applies to you, you don’t need to do anything – your tickets will be assigned to next year’s festival later this year. For anyone who’d like a refund for their rolled-over FyneFest tickets, please email tickets@fyneales.com with your order number and we will issue refunds as quickly as we can. There’s a little more info on the FyneFest website – check it out and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We very much look forward to welcoming you all back to the glen soon. Our Brewery Shop is now open seven days a week, and the Brewery Courtyard beer garden will be open once again from Monday 26 April. As we begin to put the pandemic behind us, we will be looking to put on as much as we can this summer, so please ensure you’re signed up to our newsletter and that you’re following us on social media for the latest updates.

For now – thank you again, we hope to see you somewhere soon for a pint of Jarl and in the meantime, our online shop is always open.
