#FyneFest22 – Thank You From Fyne Ales
While the dust is still settling on FyneFest 2022, the Fyne Ales team would like to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in this year’s event. So many folk contribute to making FyneFest so special – and we want to give them the acknowledgement they deserve and the chance for everyone to join us in raising a glass to the people behind FyneFest.
Let’s kick off with a massive thank you to our FyneFest crew – we had a brilliant team working on the festival this year, from the tech crew making everything look and sound brilliant, to the bar team keeping the beers flowing and pouring pints all weekend, and the site team who work tirelessly for over ten days to prepare, maintain and break down the site to everyone else putting in the hours to make this year’s FyneFest so amazing. A special quick shout-out to our photo and video crew – Alasdair Watson, Derek Shields and Stevie McKenna (whose drone shot headlines this blog) – we can’t wait to share the photos and video from this year’s festival.
We poured over 230 different beers at FyneFest this year, the vast majority of which came from brilliant breweries who not only agreed to let us showcase their beers, but also helped get their tasty brews to a field in the middle of Scotland for the weekend. We continue to get incredible support from breweries around the UK for FyneFest, and an extra special mention for Joe Dick and the James Clay team for furnishing our international Best of Europe bar this year with some stunning beers.
Music is a huge part of FyneFest and this year’s offering was simply brilliant – with booker Barney Strachan curating an awesome line-up of bands across the three days to soundtrack the FyneFest long weekend. Thank you to him and all the bands who performed across our stages – the glen has never sounded so good.
A thank-you must go to our food vendors – I think it’s fair to say that finding the right number and quality of food producers for FyneFest has never been more challenging, but our line-up ended up being ace, and all of them worked hard to keep folk fed right through the weekend.
Once again, the Pellicle team smashed it with the FyneFest Meet-The-Brewers panels, bringing together an awesome range of folk from UK breweries to chat about important and interesting subjects in our industry – and also to play silly games at Friday night’s Shooting Stars homage. Thank you to Matt Curtis and the team for putting the line-up together and to all the brewers who took part – more of the same next year, aye?
And we’ve said this a lot on social media over the past few days, but thank you to you, reading this, for being part of #FyneFest22 and joining us in the glen after three long years. All of the people mentioned above work so hard to make FyneFest happen, but seeing the smiles of folks enjoying themselves makes it all worthwhile – we sincerely hope you enjoyed your weekend with us, and that you’ll come back for more at #FyneFest23…
