Welcome to the Fyne Ales blog—here you’ll find the latest insight into what’s going on with the Fyne Ales team in the brewery, on the farm or on the road.

We’ve Struck Gold at the SIBA Indie Beer Scotland Awards

We’ve got some brilliant news to share – both Fyne Ales and Origins Brewing came away with big wins at this year’s SIBA Indie Beer Scotland Keg Awards!

First up, what’s SIBA?

SIBA stands for the Society of Independent Brewers. They’re the voice of indie breweries across the UK – supporting, championing and celebrating the best in independent beer. Their awards are judged by brewers, industry experts and beer fans, so picking up medals here really means something.

And the winners are…

  • Easy Trail (Fyne Ales)Gold & Category Champion
Our easy-going West Coast Session IPA just proved why it’s such a go-to pint. Juicy, citrusy and endlessly drinkable – and now officially award-winning. Available year-round, so you can raise a glass any time.

  • Nadar Blackcurrant (Origins Brewing)Gold, Category Champion & Overall Silver
Packed with 60kg of whole Scottish blackcurrants, this wild ale is tart, vibrant and a little bit wild – just how we like it. It’s hitting taps this week, so you don’t have to wait to see what all the fuss is about.

  • Seusan (Origins Brewing)Gold & Category Champion
A tropical, terpene-boosted saison with a fruity punch and oaky finish. It’s not out just yet, but keep your eyes peeled later this year.

  • Corra (Origins Brewing)Gold & Category Champion
Inspired by Georgian amber wine, Corra is complex, floral and seriously unique. Another one to look forward to later this year.

What’s Next?

These wins mean all four beers now go forward to the SIBA National Competition in March, where they’ll go head-to-head with other regional champions from across the UK. Fingers crossed we’ll be bringing more medals back to Scotland!

Where can you get your hands on our winning beers?

  • Easy Trail – available year-round on draught and in cans on our web shop here

  • Nadar Blackcurrant – fresh out this week in keg and bottles – available here

  • Seusan & Corra – coming later in 2025, so watch this space.

We’re buzzing to have our beers recognised like this – and even more excited for what’s ahead. Cheers to indie beer, and here’s to the next round of pints! 🍻
