BREWERY COURTYARD OPEN SATURDAY 25 JULY!
Draught beer is back on the menu in the glen this weekend – how better to celebrate #HappyBirthdayJarl weekend than a pint at the birthplace of our flagship beer!
We’re really excited to be opening up our Brewery Courtyard outdoor space from tomorrow (25 July 2020) – we’ll be open 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday and 10am-5pm on weekdays going forward – with plenty of seating available.
We will continue to follow government guidelines to ensure our team and all visitors to Glen Fyne are safe, including making hand sanitiser available, additional cleaning processes and following the 1 metre social distancing rule in the courtyard – there’s also a few service changes to check out if you’re thinking of coming to see us to enjoy some pints in the courtyard:
No Need To Book
As we’re not expecting to be crazy busy, to start, we’re operating on a first-come, first-served basis with no maximum time for guests. All visitors must have a seat to enjoy pints in the courtyard, but we have plenty of seating under the covered area and a bit more open to the elements (if the sun ever comes out), so you should be able to get a seat. We do ask for only one group per table to help maintain safe distances.
Table Service
The reason why you must be seated to enjoy a beer, is that we will be operating table-service-only. When you arrive, grab a table, have a read of the menu and give one of our team-members a wave and they’ll take your order, contact details for one member of your group, bring you your drinks and ask you to pay for them after each round. Menus, tables and seats will all be cleaned after each table is vacated.
Glass Return Help
We ask all visitors to put their empty glasses into a glass return tray, either provided by a team member (between rounds) or at the Courtyard Bar location before you leave. This will help us minimise contact with used glassware and speed up service to other guests.
Slightly Reduced Menu
We will have six fresh beers on draught – three cask and three keg – at any one time, as well as a selection of chilled bottled and canned beer (£1 corkage applicable). We also have wine, spirits, hot drinks, soft drinks and crisps available but please note there is no other food available at the moment. If you want to grab a sandwich from our friends at The Tree Shop or Loch Fyne Oysters to enjoy with a beer in the courtyard, feel free, just make sure you’ve got everything you need (cutlery etc) and you clear everything away into the bins before you leave.
Our starting tap line-up tomorrow is Jarl, Highlander, Avalanche on cask, plus Easy Trail, Workbench and Fyne Lager on keg!
Our indoor space will continue to operate as a shop only, so please note there is no indoor seating available – plan ahead, and be prepared for anything the West Coast weather might throw at you. We ask that anyone enjoying drink-in beer in the courtyard wears a face covering when entering the Brewery Shop for takeaway beers or to use the toilets.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know – if you are planning on visiting to raise a glass for Jarl’s birthday tomorrow, please bear with us as we put our processes in practice for the first time.
And if you’re not able to come and see us, remember we’ve got plenty of beers available from the online shop.
We hope to see some of you very soon, if not have a great weekend, cheers!
