Brewery Shop Open Thursday 9 July – Covid-19 Update

Hello and welcome to a quick update on our plans for our Brewery Shop & Tap – following changes to government guidance, we’re excited to tell you that the Brewery shop will be open for off sales from Thursday 9 July!

We’ve had a lot of folk asking when they can come back up to see us in the glen, so we’re really looking forward to welcoming you back later this week. Initially we will be operating reduced hours of 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm Saturday & Sunday for takeaway sales only, but we’re working hard on the next stage to get the bar open and draught beer pouring again soon.

We will of course be following government guidelines to keep visitors safe while stopping in and there will be a number of measures we ask you to understand when visiting – we’ve detailed them below, and while they might seem extensive, please know that they’re in everyone’s best interests.

Reduced Capacity
We will be limiting access to the shop to members of two households at any time to help manage social distancing inside. We don’t expect significant numbers of visitors while open as a shop only, however it’s a small space, so there is a chance you may be asked to wait outside – sorry!

Social Distancing
In line with government guidance, we will ask that members of different households maintain a two-metre distance from staff and other households while visiting.

Hand sanitising
We have set up a hand sanitising station at the entrance and ask that all visitors use it on entering the building. There will also be additional hand sanitising stations available during your visit.

Card or mobile payments
Ideally, we’d like folk to use contactless payment as much as possible, or card payments where that isn’t possible. No cash payments will be accepted at the moment, sorry.

Minimal product handling
To help keep our shelves stocked and safe for everyone, we ask that you only handle products you intend to purchase as far as possible. Our friendly team will be available to answer your questions about everything in the shop, so please use them if you have any queries!

Face Coverings
Also in line with government guidance, all visitors must wear a face covering while inside the shop. Please bring your own with you as we are unable to provide them and we’d hate for you to drive all the way to the glen and not be able to load up with beer!

One-Way System
For those who have visited before, you’ll probably spot some new signs when you arrive at the brewery – we’re introducing a new one-way system to help with distancing and controlling capacity. We ask all visitors to park as normal in the carpark and enter on foot, via the Brewery Courtyard doors and exit via the (previous) main entrance. The signs should help make sure you don’t get lost.

We also ask you to note that there will be no food, brewery tours or customer toilets available while we are operating as a shop only.

This is phase one of reopening our little corner of Scotland – we’re working hard to get everything set up so you can join us for pints in the Courtyard very soon (the stretch tent covering is up and the bar is built), but we want to make sure we’re getting everything right so that visitors can enjoy the space and the beers safely. Bear with us – it won’t be too long until the Jarl is flowing from the taps again!

If you don’t fancy a drive up to the glen, our online shop continues to be well-stocked and there’s currently 10% off for anyone who signs up to our newsletter!
