FyneFest 2020 & Covid-19 Update – 27/05/2020

It is with a very heavy heart that today we have to announce that FyneFest 2020 will not go ahead.

Over the past few weeks we have explored every option for moving the event to later in the year, but the uncertainty of the current Covid-19 situation as well as a number of other factors mean it isn’t feasible to reschedule. We’re gutted, and we’re sorry that FyneFest isn’t happening in 2020, but FyneFest will go ahead in 2021, from 4-7 June next year.

Outside of the pandemic, the biggest factor that lead to the decision to cancel this year’s festival is that we don’t think we can plan and deliver a festival of the quality that attendees have come to expect from Fyne Ales, at the same time as trying to keep our brewery going through these tough times; hosting FyneFest 2021 in June next year allows our small team to focus on navigating through challenges that Covid-19 has created for our brewery, before returning to focus on delivering the best possible FyneFest next summer.

And we can confidently say we plan to more than make up for missing 2020 next June – we’re going to throw our best party ever, and we hope that you’ll join us back in the glen.

Thank you to all ticket holders and our extended FyneFest community including the brewers, bands, food vendors and incredible crew for your patience and understanding – we know you’ll be disappointed, but we believe this decision is best for everyone.

All ticket holders have been sent an email (to the address used for ticket booking) explaining the situation and outlining options in regards to holding on to your ticket, converting it into beer money or applying for a refund and we really hope you will be able to support us by either rolling your tickets over to next year, or by converting your tickets into beer – if you haven’t received any correspondence, please email tickets@fyneales.com from the email address used to book tickets quoting your order number asap and we’ll get something over to you.

Processing all the tickets is going to take us a while as we are a very small team at the moment, so please bear with us while we work through them. If we haven’t heard from you by the Friday 12 June we will assume you want your tickets rolled over to next year.

Please stay safe, stay healthy and we’ll see you for our best ever FyneFest in 2021.
