September is nearly here, and with it comes our next Mini-Cask Club Discovery special AND some exciting changes for members!

MINI-CASK CLUB – SIGN-UP

The brewers’ next choice of returning recipe as part of our #FyneAles20 beery trip down memory lane is a standout from our Everyone Loves single-hop showcase series – Everyone Loves Cashmere, originally brewed back in February 2019.

When we first brewed Everyone Loves Cashmere a couple of years ago, it was the vision of Head Brewer Malc who had been in the US selecting batches of hops for our year-round and special brews for the year ahead and had his socks blown off by Cashmere variety. It’s a relatively new hop, first released in 2013 as a cross-breed between Cascade and Northern Brewer, and like many newer hops it offers a broad spectrum of flavours, making it ideal for a single-hop brew.

“Every year when we head over to the US to select our hops, there’s one or two crops that really stand out and in 2019 – it was Cashmere,” shares Fyne Ales Head Brewer Malcolm Downie. “I don’t know how the farmers are doing it, but if anything it’s gotten better and better in the last couple of years – it’s such a balanced, versatile hop and personally I’m really glad we’re getting to revisit it in an Everyone Loves beer again.”

First and foremost, Cashmere offers lovely smooth citrus flavours, but after the inital wave of lemon and lime, there’s layers of more fleshy fruits – melon and peaches – before a fairly short finish with a tiny touch of herbaciousness.

Everyone Loves Cashmere will be sent to Mini-Cask Club Discovery members first in the second week of September, however, the new beer isn’t the only exciting new thing about Mini-Cask Club membership next month. From September, we’re rolling out a number of changes for MCC members, including:

1. Permanent 10% off online shop orders & Brewery Tap purchases.

2. Pay £45 on 1st September (including delivery, saving over 15% vs retail).
