2022 has been a landmark year for our Everyone Loves series of single-hop session pale ales, with every version earning amazing ratings and praise from beer lovers around the UK – and we’re not slowing down any time soon, as a brand new variant is coming to MCC next month!

Everyone Loves Opus features one of the new generation of UK-grown hops, originally released as experimental batch CF182 just a few years ago, it’s quickly established itself amongst the upper echelons of British varieties thanks to its super-fruity citrus character.

“We actually brewed with Opus back in 2018 when it was still under its experimental name CF182, and I remember thinking then that this could be something pretty special,” shares Head Brewer, Malcolm Downie. “Once again, UK hop-growing is showing that it’s going from strength to strength – we’ve never brewed with as many British hops as we have in 2022 and I’d say the beers we’ve made have been among some of our best ever specials.”

The Everyone Loves series has always been about delivering big flavour at a modest ABV – a satisfying, full-flavoured pint that you can revisit time and again. With Opus, continuing the series’ 3.8% ABV, the brew offers inviting floral notes in the aroma, and a taste that is all about citrus, with a balanced sweet and zesty orange top note that sings above everything else.

This month, five litres of Everyone Loves Opus will be combined with five litres of our Champion Beer of Scotland, Jarl,  in addition to:
