We’re kicking off Mini-Cask Club in 2021 with Double Disco month featuring two brand new beers instead of one for Discovery members – All Singing and All Dancing!

MINI-CASK CLUB – FIXED-TERM SIGN-UP // MONTHLY SIGN-UP

Normally our Discovery members will receive five litres of a new beer and five litres of our flagship Jarl, however for January we’re shaking things up with two new, related beers (Double Disco being short for Double Discovery). Both All Singing and All Dancing are 4.4% pale ales, brewed with a Citra base, but each is dry-hopped with a different combination of hops to bring out different flavours in the beers. One features ‘classic’ American hops from the early days of craft beer, while the other features more recent American hop discoveries.

• – All Singing – 4.4% Pale Ale with Citra, Cascade & Columbus.
• – All Dancing – 4.4% Pale Ale with Citra, Mosaic & Strata.

The idea is that members can compare and contrast the two beers and the flavours that the dry-hops bring to the beer. Together, Columbus and Cascade will give All Singing a bright citrussy flavour with a lightly herbal, piney finish, very much in the West Coast style of pale ale. The combination of Mosaic and Strata in All Dancing should deliver big tropical flavours, with a touch of stone-fruit and a herbal dankness that Strata has become known for.

“We wanted to do something special to start Mini-Cask Club in 2021 and this is an idea we’ve been playing around with for a while” explains Head Brewer Malcolm Downie. “We want to pit two of the ‘old school’ hops against two of their modern counterparts – we’ve been brewing with Columbus and Cascade for over a decade and they’re wonderful hops, but how do they stand up against two of the most popular hops of the last couple of years? It’s time to find out!”
