There’ll be no April showers for Mini-Cask Club members next month, as we’ll be sending them the perfect sunshine beer to bring some brightness to their day and put a smile on their faces – our latest single-hop session brew, this time showcasing the brilliant British hop Jester.

In recent years, British hop-growing has come on leaps and bounds, with a number of new varieties coming to the forefront and standing up to their American counterparts in being able to offer big, bold, fruity flavours – Jester being one of the most exciting among the crops. Officially released in 2013, recent years’ harvest have seen Jester’s sweet berry, zesty grapefruit and balanced dankness flavour profile really shine and for us it’s the perfect time to showcase it in a single-hop brew.

“We’re finding ourselves using British hops more and more in our modern-style brews in the last few years, such is their ever-increasing quality and ability to delivery flavour” explains Fyne Ales Head Brewer, Malcolm Downie. “Jester is one of the standouts of recent British hop-growing – it ticks all the flavour boxes and should make for a brilliant single-hop session beer.”

Paired up with our year-round fruity blonde ale, Hurricane Jack, April is sure to be a treat for Mini-Cask Club members. They’ll be the first to try Everyone Loves Jester in the second week of April alongside their  mini-cask of Jack!
